Theibar and Athebryn
If anyone were bold enough to outright ask Theibar about him opinions of humans, he would say something to this affect: “I like the human youths and the human elderly. Youths possess great promise, and a thirst to explore, learn and live; while the elder possess a human standard of wisdom. It is only when a human approaches the end do they fully understand the wonderment of the world and learn the patience required to appreciate it.” It is this view that explains Theibar’s relationship with Koya, but more pertinently his relationship with Athebryn.
Athebryn reminds Theibar of a human child, an unrefined, knowledge craving, naughty child. Theibar and Athebryn quickly reached an understanding of one another. In Theibar’s mind, Athebryn simply needs educating in the ways of wisdom and etiquette. While on the other hand, Athebryn believes that Theibar needs to see a lighter side of life, and will often attempt to explain the humour behind his many pranks. Such as a grandparent hides their amusement of the naughty things their grandchild does, Theibar supresses his enjoyment of Athebryn’s tomfoolery.
